This is a limited edition of Chiba Lotte Marines' official fan apparel jersey. These jerseys are distributed at home games and special events during the 2017 seasonal campaigns.
The Chiba Lotte Marines are a professional baseball team in Japan's Pacific League based in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, in the Kantō region, and owned by Lotte Holdings Co., Ltd. The Marines were a founding member of the Pacific League in 1950 as the Mainichi Orions when the Japanese Baseball League reorganized into Nippon Professional Baseball.
The Marines have won four Japan Series championships in 1950, 1974, 2005, and 2010. They have also won the Pacific League championship five times, in 1950, 1960, 1970, 1974, and 2005.
The Marines are known for their strong pitching staff and have had a number of successful pitchers over the years, including Masato Yoshii, Satoru Komiyama, Tadahito Iguchi, Masahide Kobayashi, Tsuyoshi Nishioka, Ryohei Tanaka, Yasuhiko Yabuta, Shunsuke Watanabe, Yuhei Nakaushiro, Hirokazu Sawamura, Hideki Irabu, and future star Roki Sasaki. They are also known for their passionate fans, who are known as "Marines Maniacs."
